In an interview with DagbladetSport the 15-year-old himself spoke of the interest from the Merseyside club.

After earning his first international cap at just 15 and becoming a key player for his club side Stromsgodset, he is unlikely to be short of suitors in the near future, but Liverpool may have the edge; despite the player seemingly happy in Norway at he moment.

“Liverpool are my favourite club,” Odegaard said. “That is not to say that I dream to play for them. I’m thriving at Stromsgodset and feel that I can develop myself right here.”

With a contract that expires in 2015, unless the young sensation pens a new deal he could be set for a high profile move very soon. Anfield may be his preferred destination, but if offers come in from a host of other clubs he will have a big decision on his hands.
