There had been fears that the German World Cup winner could also be unavailable for Sunday’s trip to Manchester United in the Premier League.

However, Schurrle returned to training on Thursday.

He seemed very pleased to be back in the gym, judging by the Instagram upload below.

Schurrle has scored two goals in 309 minutes of Premier League game time this season.

He bagged 16 goals for club and country last term, including three at the World Cup.
