Gerrard isn’t ready for retirement just yet.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is ready to join another club at the end of the season, report the Mirror, if Liverpool do not offer their influential captain a new contract to stay at Anfield, almost certainly ending his career at the only club he has ever played for.

Gerrard’s deal is due to expire at the end of the season and, as of yet, there has been no movement on extending it – prompting the captain to suggest that he is keeping his options open, but isn’t considering retirement:
“I certainly won’t be retiring this summer. I will play beyond this season.”
“We’ll have to wait and see if that’s at Liverpool or some where else.”
“That’s Liverpool’s decision. If they don’t come then I will see what’s out there.”
Gerrard has remained ever present for Brendan Rodgers at Anfield last season and is important part of the side, as he was in the near title near miss last season, but other clubs could well be alerted to the former England skipper if Liverpool do not move to extend his deal in the near future.
