Liverpool showed some promise in loss to all conquering Chelsea side…

After a poor start to the season, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers put all his eggs in one basket by resting many of his best players against Real Madrid, keeping one eye on his side’s clash with Chelsea.

The gamble did not pay off, with the Reds losing 2-1 to the London team. However, some promise was seen at Anfield, and this could lead to better performances in the near future.

On the other hand, Chelsea, continued their unbeaten start to the season, and it’s becoming difficult to see who is going to beat them.

5) Emre Can could be a better signing than first thought

The German midfielder followed up his solid performance against Real Madrid with another against the league leaders. His deflected goal was deserved and could be sign of better things to come from the summer signing. Also, at 20 years old, he can only get better.
