The much-anticipated clash between two of the A-League’s heavyweights sees Sydney FC take on original arch-rivals Melbourne Victory at Allianz Stadium.

Both sides have been hurt by international team losses, in particular the Victory.

Kevin Muscat’s side will be without six players due to national team duty, including captain Mark Milligan and the in-form Kosta Barbarouses.

Sydney has issues of their own, with striker Marc Janko away with the Austrian national side, while Corey Gameiro has linked up with the Australian under-23’s.

It is unclear whether Terry Antonis will play after having to pull out of the Socceroos’ squad to face Japan after being involved in a car accident on the way to the airport.

Regardless, this match will have plenty of feeling in it.
