Another Blow For Manchester United As Star Player Injured On International Duty

More injury concerns for Red Devils.

Manchester United may have been dealt another big injury blow to add to their long list this season, with the Daily Telegraph reporting that goalkeeper David de Gea has picked up a knock whilst on international duty with Spain.

The 24-year-old has been in superb form for the Red Devils this season, putting in some eye-catching performances to establish himself as one of the best in the Premier League in his position, but he now looks set to miss out his country’s next game with a dislocated finger.

It remains to be seen how serious this problem will prove to be, and de Gea will remain with the Spanish national team camp for the time being as they look into the issue.

United are short of backup options for their number one shot-stopper at the moment, with neither Anders Lindegaard nor Ben Amos the most convincing of options for manager Louis van Gaal.

Former Barcelona star Victor Valdes has recently been linked with a free transfer to Old Trafford after training with the club after a long injury layoff himself, and it could be that this latest blow will tempt the club into making the player an offer.
