The 26-year-old only moved to Old Trafford in the summer, but when speaking to French TV station Telefoot he said that he wouldn’t rule out a transfer to the French capital in the future. The club were interested in signing the Argentine in the summer, but he ended up going to the Red Devils.
“Could I join PSG in the future? Yes maybe. I am still young. In football, there is a lot of movement and I don’t know how things will end up.”
The World Cup runner up also disclosed why he didn’t move to the French champions in the summer. Money was apparently the main stumbling block for the move.
“I think it was a problem of money. They could not buy any players and I think that is the main reason I did not go to Paris. To play in a French club is something that would please a lot of players but today I play in the Premier League. But you never know.”
The winger did say that United’s persistence was a major factor in persuading him to make the move to the North of England.
“At the time, there were a lot of clubs interested. There were a lot of clubs who wanted to have me. They came and went but Manchester appeared and they never went away and because they really wanted me, I went there. That is how it happened.”
