Anfield side could axe Northern Irishman after poor start to the season.
Liverpool are ready to turn to Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp as a potential replacement for under-fire boss Brendan Rodgers according to the Metro.
Though Rodgers guided his Anfield side to a runners-up finish last term, resulting in a long awaited return to Champions League action, it appears the Northern Irishman is by no means safe from the sack.
Liverpool clocked up their third Premier League defeat on the trot away at Crystal Palace on Sunday and the club’s American owners will target Klopp should they elect to axe Rodgers.
Klopp has been a huge success over the past six years at the Westfalenstadion though is himself under a fair bit of pressure with Borussia Dortmund starting the season in miserable fashion.
Dortmund currently sit just above the relegation zone having lost seven of their opening dozen Bundesliga fixtures.
Klopp has guided Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles as well as a Champions League final and is also being linked with a possible move to take over from Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
