The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has been rumoured to be a target for struggling Liverpool. This is due to the travails of current Anfield number one Simon Mignolet.
“We all have ambitions and goals. I work really hard to get better and try to improve as a player, and hopefully test myself at the highest level possible level in the future,” he told Sky Sports.
“Who knows whether that opportunity will present itself? We’ll see what the future holds but I’m not thinking too far ahead.”
However, the 27-year-old has also revealed that he is currently happy and settled at the Potters, and is looking forward to the rest of the season with Mark Hughes’ side. Stoke beat Arsenal 3-2 in their last Premier League match.
“My future is here at Stoke as far as I’m concerned. We’ve got a lot of games coming up and I’m hoping to be a big part of that,” he continued. “I’ve been here a few years now and enjoyed my time. I’ve really settled in and had a lot of support from the staff.”
Meanwhile Liverpool drew with Sunderland as their torrid campaign continued. If the keeper wants to play at the highest level then the Merseyside club may not be what he is looking for.
