Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers seems keen to bring in a custodian who can ably challenge, and no doubt replace, Simon Mignolet with the Belgian being in poor form for much of his 18 months at the Merseyside club.
22 year old Italian Perin is considered one of the hottest young prospects in Europe and his agent Moreno Roggi has publicly confirmed Liverpool’s interest in his client.
‘There has been contact with Liverpool,’ he said.
‘For Perin I can only imagine a future abroad. I would like him to remain in Italy, but only clubs from abroad can afford him.
‘England? It’s a possibility.’
The £12m rated keeper could be a very sensible signing to consider in January.
Perrin has conceded just 12 goals in 14 Serie A fixtures this season, a run of form that has helped his side to third spot in the table.
