Luciano Pereira Caparroz is particularly unhappy that the 22-year-old signed a pre-contract agreement with the Catalan club just before the two teams played each other in a Club World Cup match in 2011.

The lifelong lawyer claims that he spent around £2,000 to travel to the game, which took place in Japan. He is also taking issue with the “morale damages” that the news gave him, taking the total amount he is looking for to £6,600.

He is directing the litigation at Neymar and N&N, the company owned by the player’s father which represents the Brazilian. Both the youngster and the company are yet to comment on the case.

Caparroz explained why he was suing, saying,”I’m a Santista, I go to all the games and I decided to travel to Japan to watch the Club World Cup. I was left frustrated with the result and on top of that, later on we learned that Neymar was already sold. I feel cheated.”

Neymar will want this issue to be dealt with soon, so that he can fully concentrate on playing for Barcelona. The club currently have a lot of work to do to catch up with Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.
