The former Socceroo sustained a hip injury in the 0-0 draw with Melbourne Victory in mid-November which was subsequently diagnosed as an injury to the lateral cutaneous nerve of the thigh.

Sydney FC boss Graham Arnold rued the loss, but said he would actively seek a replacement for the 35-year-old.
