Torres left the Vicente Calderon Stadium back in 2007 when he joined Liverpool after being appointed the youngest captain in Atleti’s history.
Since then the 30-year-old has enjoyed good times with the Reds and the Spain national team and some more difficult ones with the Blues and more recently AC Milan.
However, now back in the Spanish capital and Torres was given a hero’s welcome by the club that brought him through all those years ago.
