Captain Steven Gerrard will leave Liverpool at the end of the season
There has been some shocking news that has rocked Anfield as Gerrard makes the decision to leave his boyhood club in the summer.
As reported by the Daily Express the 34-year-old is getting ready to bid farewell to the Kop after deciding he didn’t want to be spending more and more time on the bench under manager Brendan Rodgers.
It will bring to an end a hugely successful career for Gerrard on Merseyside, during which time he has won two FA Cups, three League Cups, the UEFA Cup and Champions League.
