Ligue 1 star Alexandre Lacazette has been talking up a move to Liverpool in the near future…
One of Arsenal and Liverpool’s top January targets Alexandre Lacazette has admitted that he would love to play in the Premier League, according to the Mirror.
The Lyon striker has been linked with a £15m move to the Reds recently, with his exceptional form in Ligue 1 attracting interest from a number top European clubs.
Any potential deal looked dead in the water, but the Frenchman’s recent comments have seen the rumours resurface.
“Between England and Spain, I don’t have a preference,” he said.
Having scored 19 goals in 20 games this season, Lacazette could be exactly what Brendan Rodgers’ men need. The Merseyside club have struggled for goals this season, with summer signing Mario Balotelli particularly failing to impress.
Rodgers has been unable to replace the goals lost through the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, with the fact that Daniel Sturridge has spent most of the season injured making things far worse for the Northern Irishman.
