Spurs looking to sign Ukrainian Yevhen Konoplyanka.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is looking to add additional attacking thrust to his White Hart Lane squad during the January transfer window, report the Mail, with Ukrainian international winger Yevhen Konoplyanka from Dnipro Dnipropetrovk on the former Southampton chief’s wishlist.

Konoplyanka is out of contract at Dnipro at the end of the season and looks extremely unlikely to sign a new deal with the Ukrainian club, meaning that Spurs could either look to sign him on a free transfer in the summer or, as is being pushed by his club, negotiate a cut price fee of around £7 million to sign him now.

The 25 year-old, who is extremely experienced both at club and international level for a player of his age, has been a transfer target for Spurs’ Premier League rivals Liverpool in the past, but Brendan Rodgers’ side ran out of time to push through a £20m deal for Konoplyanka last year.

This failure looks set to be Tottenham’s gain as Pochettino and club chairman Daniel Levy make the winger their main target for the January transfer window, as Spurs look to bring in additional attacking support for Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen.
