Barcelona had little trouble overcoming Levante at the Nou Camp with in-form Brazilian Neymar netting the Catalan side’s opener on 17 minutes.
The 23 year old lobbed keeper Diego Marino, his 17th goal in 16 La Liga starts, to start the ball rolling.
Lionel Messi made it 2-0 with a nice drilled finish five minutes before half-time.
Poor defending contributed to Messi’s second, Barcelona’s third, 15 minutes into the second period.
Six minutes and the Argentine had yet another hat-trick, Messi sending the keeper the wrong way with a spot-kick.
Luis Suarez continued his good run of form with a fine bicycle kick to complete the five goal rout.
