Champions League Last 16 Predictions: Arsenal To Narrowly Beat Monaco, Man City To Crumble Against Barcelona.
Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri seems very confident ahead of his side’s big Champions League clash with Barcelona on Tuesday.
City faced Barca in last season’s competition, losing home and away to the La Liga giants.
Nasri admits he and his teammates were a little scared of Lionel Messi and co back then, but he says that fear is no more.
He is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: “We are better physically than last year, last year before the first game we had a couple of players injured.
“Everything will be different, we have more experience of this competition now.
“I think we respected them too much but at the same time last year we were not experienced to compete with a club like this.
“With their history, they know how to play in these kind of games and know how to win the Champions League.
“For us it was the first time that we went through the group stage and I think it was too much of a big game for us and we were not ready.
“I think this year is totally different because we know what we are capable of.
“We are going to respect them as a club but we are not going to be scared, we’re just going to play and try to win.”
