Would Red Devils fans want their former captain back?

Former Manchester United defender and skipper Nemanja Vidic is almost certain to leave Inter Milan following a disastrous first season with the Italian giants.

Vidic gave away a penalty and got sent off on his Serie A debut, and the nightmare got worse, with reports claiming the 33-year-old’s relationship with boss Roberto Mancini is beyond repair, according to the Express.

Vidic has made 17 appearances for Inter in his first campaign so far, but has struggled to get along with manager Mancini, with the pair falling out after the 3-3 draw against Celtic in the Europa League.

With the unconvincing performances of the Man United defence, who have failed to step up since the Serbian’s departure, a sensational return to Old Trafford would be welcomed – however, Louis van Gaal favours a move for Mats Hummels.
