Everton Linked With Ambitious Move for £15m Rated Man United Winger

Everton have reportedly sent scouts to monitor Man United winger Nani during his loan spell at Sporting Lisbon according to the Metro.

The 28 year old was treading water at Old Trafford, leading to Louis van Gaal’s willingness to send Nani to his former club, but has greatly impressed this term and as such could still be a player of value to the Old Trafford outfit.

Nani has cracked in eight goals for Sporting, four of which have come in Champions League action, and Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is weighing up a move for the Man United star.

This source claims it may take a fee of as much as £15m to persuade United to sell, which seems steep to say the least, and that Martinez will look to see Kevin Mirallas to help fund such a swoop.

Nani moved to Man United in the summer of 2007 and after initially struggling to emerge from the shadow of his fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo, particularly in the speedster’s opening campaigns, the Portuguese international played a key role in the club’s Premier League title triumph of 2010/11.
