Juve could’ve signed Old Trafford ace in the summer.
Juventus nearly signed Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao when he was available in the summer transfer window, club director Giuseppe Marotta has revealed.
The Italian giants were one of many clubs looking at the Colombian international as he sought an exit from parent club AS Monaco, though he eventually joined United on a season-long loan.
Falcao’s future is in doubt once again after some poor form, but Marotta would not be drawn into renewing his interest in the 28-year-old.
“Falcao was very close at that time,” he is quoted on Goal.com. “But now he is in another situation: we will see what happens with him. Now it is too early to think about signing him because we are evaluating various opportunities.”
