Louis van Gaal’s side face competition from a host of European clubs…
Manchester United have submitted a bid for Kenedy, the Fluminense striker tipped to be the ‘new Neymar’, according to the Daily Express.
The 19-year-old is reportedly wanted by many top European sides, including divisional rivals Chelsea, and Spanish giants Barcelona. United appear to be the only club to have cemented their interest with an offer for the playmaker however, whose contract expires in 2018.
The bid is believed to be in the region of £5.7m.
Worryingly for United fans, especially with such a low fee being touted, is how highly Kenedy speaks of Premier League leaders Chelsea. He has previously spoken of his admiration for their Brazilian contingent of Oscar, Willian, and the now departed David Luiz.
However, Louis van Gaal’s side can also take optimism from the transfer embargo currently in place at the Nou Camp, which may prove a stumbling block to the new Neymar linking up with the original in the near future.
