Reds boss calls for improvements to playing surface.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has slammed the condition of the Anfield pitch this season, describing it as ‘awful’ for the game he wants his side to play, the Daily Mail reports.
The Northern Irishman wants improvements to the playing surface, with his team known for their philosophy of fast-moving passing football.
“We need to do something about the pitch because we need a better pitch if we are going to play the game we are playing,” Rodgers said.
The pitch certainly hasn’t affected Liverpool’s recent form, with the Reds one of the most in-form teams in the country in 2015.
