Ozil has been producing impressive performances in recent weeks.
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has hailed the role played by Arsene Wenger in the win against Man United at Old Trafford on Monday which sent the club to Wembley for a second successive semi-final.
Ozil produced a wonderful team performance for Arsenal, dropping back into midfield in order to prevent Arsenal getting outnumber by Man United’s three man engine-room.
However the German World Cup winner has hailed Wenger’s tactical planning after he laid out the blueprint in order for Arsenal to exploit the weaknesses of Man United.
“We weren’t given much of a chance, if you believe the statistics of previous matches against United, but with a passionate team performance, we are now going to Wembley,” Ozil told Goal.com.
“United offered us mistakes and we exploited them well. We concentrated on our work off the ball and followed the manager’s gameplan.
“I look forward to the semi-finals at Wembley and, of course, [hope to] return there in May [for the final].”
Ozil has won the domestic cup at his two previous clubs and will be hoping to add a second successive FA Cup in a new trophy laden era for Arsenal.
