The versatile player has been a key man for Evian this season as the Cross of the Savoie have fought manfully against relegation.

He has featured 25 times in Ligue 1 and scored eight goals, contributing two assists.

His form has dipped recently however as L’ETG have dropped closer towards the relegation zone. He was dismissed as Evian beat fellow relegation strugglers Racing Club de Lens 2-0 and only returned to action three weeks later, playing a half in the 3-1 defeat to AS Monaco.

Wass now faces a break from the plight of Evian in the French top flight as he has an international rendezvous with France, the land he has lived in since 2011.

Denmark are set for two international friendlies, against the United States on March 25 and France four days later.
