Reports in Germany daily Bild have seemingly confirmed Klopp’s impending departure, with his exit alone likely to attract interest from a number of clubs who are on the hunt for a new manager, most notably Manchester City, where Manuel Pellegrini’s future looks far from certain.

With Dortmund’s terrible domestic season also likely to ensure that they’re not playing European football next season, the signatures of a number of major players also look well up for grabs. Here’s who we think could be on the move…

8) Neven Subotic

A commanding defender who often goes unnoticed alongside Mats Hummels, who has attracted far more in the way of media speculation. The 26-year-old Serbian could be the answer to any number of teams defensive problems, with over 200 games of Dortmund experience.

7) Sven Bender

Another long-term servant of Dortmund who could be left disillusioned by the departure of his equally long-serving manager. The defensive midfielder has struggled with some injury problems in recent years but if someone can get him fit he could be a clever buy.
