Etihad Stadium bit-part player set for Anfield switch.
Liverpool are confident of landing Man City star James Milner on a free transfer deal this summer according to the Daily Mirror.
The 29 year old is set to leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the current campaign and Brendan Rodgers will look to bring in the England man to help boost his Anfield squad.
The hugely experienced midfielder, who can also play in wide roles, would offer Rodgers a cost effective option as he prepares for the departure of captain Steven Gerrard.
Milner is into his fifth season at City, having signed for £28m back in August 2010, but has been a bit-part player for the past couple of years and will look to reignite his career with a move this summer.
Having made just 14 Premier League starts this season it’s not surprising that Milner would leave Man City and has turned down a new contract offer from the big-spending outfit.
