Herrera goal vs Arsenal
The England international slipped while chasing a ball next to the Frenchman, but managed to crawl along and get his head to the ball and knock it from Giroud’s toes. The 23-year-old was also pulling an epic grimace throughout the whole panicked episode. it isn’t the first time that social media users have jumped on an instance of the centre-back looking funny in a match, with it just being the latest in a long run of examples.
The defensive work from Jones didn’t go unrewarded though, with Ander Herrera opening the scoring for the Red Devils shortly afterwards. The 25-year-old volleyed it in from an Ashley Young cross, and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is unlikely to to be happy with how the Spaniard was completely unmarked at the back post.
Social media users absolutely loved Jones’s efforts!

You’re all laughing at Phil Jones, but that’s what raw desire looks like. It’s also what a spaniel on a freshly polished floor looks like. — Iain Macintosh (@iainmacintosh) May 17, 2015
Excellent ball forward from Phil Jones to Fellaini to start that move. He’s not just a winner of ground-level headers

Headbutting the grass while doing ‘the worm’. Phil Jones has just become a parody of himself now, sad really.

Phil Jones just provided the most Phil Jones moment yet of his career. — Daniel Taylor (@DTguardian) May 17, 2015
A travesty if that doesn’t count in Phil Jones’ ‘headers won’ match stats … — Sam Wallace (@SamWallaceIndy) May 17, 2015
Phil Jones is actually the greatest footballer of our generation.

It looks ridiculous, but that Phil Jones header was actually brilliant.
