The talented Portuguese international is widely regarded as one of the most promising young players in Europe at the moment, and has also attracted some interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the recent past.
Carvalho looks exactly what Arsenal need in the middle of the park at the moment, with Arsene Wenger looking for upgrades on the likes of Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere in that role.
Speaking about his future, the player said: “My qualities suit English football.”
The 23-year-old would command a fee of around £24m, according to the Daily Star, but looks good value for money at that price based on his strong performances in recent times.
The Star adds that Carvalho’s qualities have seen him compared with Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira, whose influence is still missed at the club today.
