Arsenal told they CAN sign European powerhouse if they pay club-record £50m

Gunners quoted asking price for world class forward.

Arsenal have been set an asking price of £50m if they want to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema this summer, according to latest reports.

The Gunners are known to be tracking the French international, who is not guaranteed a first-team place at Real this season, but who has long been regarded as one of the best players in the world in his position.

There’s no doubt Benzema would prove an upgrade on Olivier Giroud up front, but it remains to be seen if Arsenal will be ready to fork out quite so much money for him.

Despite previously being linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for around £45m, the Daily Star now claims Real want more like £50m to let him go.
