Man United track Premier League goal machine ahead of January move

Manchester United are said to be keeping an eye on Everton striker Romelu Lukaku ahead of a possible move for him during the January transfer window, according to the Metro.

The Belgian international has been in flying form for the Toffees so far this season, bagging himself seven goals in 12 Premier League appearances (via Metro).

And now according to the Daily Express, United are keeping a close watch on the 22-year-old, while reports in Italy are also suggesting that Juventus are tracking him, too.

After finding the net against West Ham recently, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has stated that Lukaku’s price tag has risen to £55million (via Metro).

United could likely afford that fee, but they would have to come up with something special to lure him away from Merseyside.

However, if they can, he would almost certainly represent a more threatening prospect in front of goal as Wayne Rooney continues to struggle to rediscover his best form.
