Euro giants locked in transfer battle to sign Arsenal flop despite horror miss (Video)

Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are understood to be primed to battle it out for the services of Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.

The attacker has struggled to make his mark at the Emirates Stadium, but despite being linked with a move away from the club during the summer, he remained to try and impose himself on Arsene Wenger’s first-team squad this season.

The Costa Rica international has featured regularly in recent weeks, but he may have reached the end of the road after a miserable showing against West Bromwich Albion.

While the match in general was a disaster for Arsenal, who took the lead despite losing Francis Coquelin, before falling behind and seeing Santi Cazorla miss a late penalty, the true nadir was this horror miss from Campbell.

The mishit may be seen as more evidence that the Central American hitman isn’t cut out for life with the North London giants.

However, according to Turkish Football, Super Lig giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are keen on the hitman and are waiting to pounce for the 23-year-old should Wenger decide he is surplus to requirements in the capital.
