Man United ready to beat Arsenal to European playmaker with £22m bid

Manchester United are said to be weighing up a move for Lille playmaker Sofiane Boufal and will beat rivals Arsenal and Liverpool to do so, according to French publication BuzzSport.

The French side have valued the 22-year-old at around £22million, and may be forced to move him on in the near future due to ongoing financial problems.

But his form this term has caught the eye of several clubs across the channel, as he has chipped in with five goals from several positions in the attack. His versatility is apparently a big plus for the interested English sides, as he can occupy a role out on the left or just behind the striker.

And with United’s attacking intent not living up to its usual standard, the France-born Moroccan has emerged as a realistic target that could add some real quality to the club’s frontline.
