Romelu Lukaku price tag £75m, but Everton will sell defender for two thirds of that

Everton have placed a £75 million price tag on star striker Romelu Lukaku in order to ward off interest, according to the Express, who claim that the Toffees will sell defender John Stones for £50 million.

The Toffees seem keen to price out any suitors in an attempt to keep the Belgium international at the club next season.

Lukaku did however, hint that he is not entirely convinced with his future at the club and told reporters after Belgium’s 3-1 defeat against Wales at Euro 2016 that he would need to discuss his future with the club.

“I need to talk to the club,” Lukaku is quoted as saying (per Express Sport).

The Express adds that the powerful striker is keen on a move to a club that can offer him Champions League football in order to forward his career.

Everton are however, in no rush to sell considering they still have a contract with Lukaku for the next three seasons.

Lukaku joined the Toffees in a £28 million move (fee reported by BBC Sport) from Chelsea in 2014 and scored 25 times in 46 appearances last season.
