Pre-season training began at Arsenal on Tuesday ahead of the 2016/17 season, with many youngsters forming the group to kick things off.

The international players in the Arsenal squad have been afforded a bit more time off to recover from their exploits this summer, while some are even still involved at Euro 2016.

In turn, it gave an opportunity to the likes of Yaya Sanogo who is back at the club to impress early on, although there was a significant introduction to the first-team group.

18-year-old starlet Jeff Reine-Adelaide was pictured alongside Per Mertesacker, donning the number 20 on his training kit.

Not only is that a promising sign for Arsenal fans in that he’s been promoted to the senior squad, but he’s also picked up the squad number left behind by Mathieu Flamini.

Arsene Wenger has a proven track record of developing young talent, and Reine-Adelaide will hope to be the latest to be able to make an impression in the Gunners senior squad in pre-season this summer.
