Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho keen on £16.9m Besiktas playmaker

Manchester United’s newly appointed manager Jose Mourinho is keen on a move for Besiktas’ midfield playmaker Oguzhan Ozyakup according to The Turkish Super League broadcaster LigTV.

The report states that the 23-year-old has attracted the attention of the Red Devils following his performances over the past year. LigTV go onto state that the United are preparing a bid for Ozyakup.

The Turkey international has another two-years remanning on his contract and although Besiktas have been unwilling to sell him so far this summer, they could be tempted by an offer that meets their valuation.

LigTV also state that Mourinho has held talks with Ozyakup’s previous manager Slaven Bilic. Bilic spent two seasons at Besiktas before making the move to the Premier League to manage West Ham United.

Ozyakup scored 10 times and provided eight assists in all competitions playing a key role in the Istanbul giants title winning side last season.
