Chelsea are set to table a mega offer in order to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton according to the Express.

The daily newspaper states that the Blues are prepared to offer Asmir Begovic and Loic Remy plus money for the Belgium international.

Chelsea have already had a £65 million offer rejected by the Toffees who are keen to keep hold of their star assets going into the new season. However, the Express states that Chelsea are not backing down and are increasing their offer for Lukaku.

Lukaku joined Everton in a £28 million move (fee reported by BBC Sport) from Chelsea in 2014 and scored 25 times in 46 appearances last season.

Meanwhile, the Mirror states that Everton are preparing to offer their star striker a new improved contract in order to fend off interest from Chelsea. Per the source, Everton have offered Romelu Lukaku an improved deal worth £135,000-a-week.
