Chelsea ace at heart of swap deal with Serie A giants despite passionate denial of imminent exit

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas could still be on the move ahead of the transfer deadline despite insisting on Instagram on Sunday he is going nowhere.

Reports continue to link him with an exit regardless of his post, with the latest from Italy suggesting that a possible move to Inter is in the pipeline.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spanish international is still being considered in a possible swap deal involving Marcelo Brozovic, as well as money in addition.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is said to be an admirer of the Croatian midfielder, and is keen to take him to Stamford Bridge with Fabregas potentially being included in talks.

The 29-year-old would undoubtedly be a smart acquisition for Frank de Boer, as witnessed during his side’s 1-1 draw with Palermo on Sunday, he is in need of adding creativity and quality in his midfield with Ever Banega struggling to dictate the game alone.

Nevertheless, it all comes back to Fabregas taking to Instagram on Sunday to insist that he will not be leaving the club and that his relationship with Conte is fine.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona star was back on the bench at the weekend for the win over Burnley, and it’s been a familiar spot for him so far this season with his Chelsea teammates picking up three wins in three Premier League games.

Although he showed his value with a key assist for the winning goal against Watford last weekend, it remains to be seen as to whether or not Conte has plans to use him in his squad this season or if he will be sacrificed in order to bring in other targets.

Fabregas appeared to deliver a pretty emphatic answer over his future, but it doesn’t seem as though the media in Italy believe it as they continue to link with him an exit.
