Manchester City summer signing Ilkay Gundogan has yet to actually make his debut for his new club due to being out sidelined with an injury.
Gundogan has returned to training and is hoping for a return as soon as possible but was given some time off over the international break which he decided to spend in Turkey.
The Germany international is of Turkish origin and has family in the country. Gundogan sent out a tweet on his official Twitter account from his latest trip to Istanbul.
Gundogan tweeted that he met friends as well as family and it turns out that he has some interesting pals.
The picture in the top-left is alongside Acun Ilicali who is a Turkish media mogul and the photo to the right is of celebrity chef Nusret who has a successful chain of steakhouses across Turkey.
