Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang has been flirting with Real Madrid again, mentioning in an interview that they were still the club he dreamed of moving to, and that there had been contact with the club in the summer.
With Karim Benzema out of sorts through the early weeks of the season, and Real Madrid itching for a big name transfer next year after a quiet summer, the move for Aubameyang looks like one of the most likely big money moves for summer 2017. With hometown hero Alvaro Morata getting his second chance in the Spanish capital, that would leave Benzema as the spare man and a prime target for Premier League clubs. Arsenal have been linked with the striker before, and could make their offer concrete this summer.
In the same interview, the Gabon striker also revealed that Manchester City had made a bid for him in the summer. The prospect of coming up against an Aguero-Aubameyang strike force will make Arsenal fans doubly keen that Real win this particular race.
