Arsenal talisman and Man City hero targeted in stunning double swoop by Euro giants

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering the possibility of signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero this summer.

The Argentine international’s future at the Etihad has been plunged into doubt after he was left on the bench for the last two games.

With new signing Gabriel Jesus now shining up front and seemingly fitting Pep Guardiola’s ideals more smoothly, it has led to question marks being raised over Aguero’s future.

According to The Daily Mail, PSG are keen on the City forward and it’s claimed that talks have taken place between the two clubs over a possible transfer.

However, it’s added that the Ligue 1 giants do have concerns over the financial aspects of the deal, but they remain hopeful of reaching an agreement and are also targeting Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in what would be a stunning double swoop.

With PSG trailing in the title race this season, the club’s hierarchy could decide to spend big this summer in order to get back to the top next year.

Although Aguero is under contract until 2020, the emergence of Jesus may well force him out as the 28-year-old will not want to stay in Manchester to play a bit-part role.

In his defence, Guardiola has little choice as the Brazilian teenager looked very impressive in the destruction of West Ham United last week, while his brace, including a late winner, against Swansea City proved that he’s ready to make an instant impact this season.

In turn, Aguero may well start to consider his options, as will Sanchez with his contract expiring in 2018 and with Arsenal falling short of reaching their objectives again.

The Gunners are now out of the Premier League title race, and with doubts over Arsene Wenger’s future, Sanchez may well consider a possible offer from the French capital to join Unai Emery’s side.

The 28-year-old has been in great form so far this season with 17 goals and 16 assists in 31 appearances, but time will tell if Arsenal are able to keep hold of him.
