Premier League bosses could be left with a major headache as Michael Oliver could follow Mark Clattenburg out the exit door, according to The Sun.

As The Sun report, Clattenburg opted to bring to an end his time officiating in England’s top tier. Clattenburg is widely considered one of the best referees in the world, and took charge of the European Championship and Champions League finals in 2016.

His departure was a major blow for the Premier League, with the standard of refereeing already plummeting. Unfortunately, it could be about to get worse. Oliver, who is another considered as one of the country’s finest officials, could also be set to jump ship.

According to The Sun, Oliver is being targeted by the MLS to referee in the United States. The tabloid believe that morale among England’s referees is at an all-time low and we could subsequently see more opt for a move abroad.
