Liverpool are reportedly up against Premier League rivals Tottenham and Everton for the potential transfer of highly-rated Dutch winger Arnaut Groeneveld.
The 21-year-old midfielder has shone for his current club Club Brugge, particularly catching the eye in his appearances in the Champions League.
Groeneveld also has two caps and one goal for the senior Netherlands national team, and looks a hugely promising talent who could soon make the step up to a bigger club.
It remains to be seen who will win the race for his signature, however, with Liverpool, Spurs and Everton all mentioned as tracking the youngster, according to the Mail.
Liverpool could do with bringing through a young player like Groeneveld as a player for the future, whilst also being good enough to provide them with some depth right now.
Tottenham and Everton, meanwhile, are two clubs who must always be in the transfer market for young players potentially available on the cheap like this, having had some success with similar signings in the past.
