Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is reportedly now looking highly unlikely to seal a transfer to Real Madrid.
The Belgium international is not having the best time at Old Trafford, having struggled since his big move from Everton last season.
This led to a recent report from Spanish outlet Don Balon suggesting he could be on his way to Real Madrid as his agent Mino Raiola offered him to the European champions.
However, there’s since been a fresh update from Don Balon stating Lukaku looks too expensive for Real, which perhaps makes sense given his slump in form.
The 25-year-old has only nine goals in all competitions this season and it remains to be seen if he truly has what it takes to shine for an elite club.
Lukaku’s best form came at Everton and it increasingly looks like that might truly be his level.
Still, Los Blancos could do with a striker and Lukaku might not have been a bad option if he were available.
Don Balon, however, seem to suggest such a move is now highly unlikely as the club have other targets ahead of Lukaku in their thinking at the moment.
