It’s been a challenging window at Molineux so far, with star duo Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri both leaving for Manchester United and Manchester City, respectively.
It won’t be easy for Wolves to replace two big names like that, but it seems they’re looking at an attacker and defender from Chelsea.
According to Chelsea News, there is interest in both Axel Disasi and David Datro Fofana from Vitor Pereira’s side at the moment.
Both players are surely available after going out on loan last season.
Can Wolves strengthen with Chelsea duo?
The new season starts soon, but it remains to be seen if Wolves will be able to get both of these deals over the line by then.
Still, there’s still plenty of time until the September 1st deadline, so one imagines there won’t be too much panic just yet.
At the same time, however, it’s easy to imagine that players like Disasi and Fofana might end up having other suitors as well.
So Wolves could do well to try to move quickly or else they’ll surely miss out.
Chelsea set to make player sales
Disasi and Fofana could be among a long list of players soon set to leave Stamford Bridge.
It’s not clear if Wolves are interested in any other of Chelsea’s cast-offs, but it could be worth keeping an eye on someone like Raheem Sterling or Ben Chilwell, both of whom have been seemingly struggling to find suitors.
Nicolas Jackson is also surely leaving but is probably someone likely to be out of Wolves’ league at this moment in time.
Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Kepa Arrizabalaga have already left CFC in recent weeks.
