Villa swan off to sunny Spain, will it rejuvinate them?

Aston Villa are out of the FA Cup after being beaten by Manchester United in the last round and the Midlands club are actually in Spain at the moment supposedly on a break to return to the Premiership refreshed and revitalized as the race to finish in the top six intensifies.

But Villa defender Curtis Davies that the players are not partying or holiday making in sunny Spain. Instead they are working. Davies says:

This is no jolly-up. We have been working hard. In fact, we have done a bit more than we do back home. It’s certainly no holiday. We are taking this European push seriously. Our main aim is to secure a Uefa Cup place, but as long as we are in with a chance of fourth then we’ll keep going for it.

Let’s see whether Martin O’Neill’s plan to take his team away from England for a short period of time actually works or not.
