Emirates Stadium target tells North London club that he wants to complete summer move to join the Gunners.
Arsenal are seemingly closing in on a deal to sign Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes. The Daily Star claims that the Nou Camp custodian has told the North London club he wants to make a summer move to the Emirates Stadium.
Barcelona have also apparently told the 31 year old that he will be allowed to leave the club this summer and an £8.5m bid from the Gunners would appear to be a decent one given that the experienced keeper will have just a year to run on his current deal come the end of the season.
This source claims that Arsene Wenger no longer has any faith in either Wojciech Szczesny or his understudy Lukasz Fabianski and wants Valdes as to join the North London club.
Valdes has won five La Liga titles and three Champions League winners medals and apparently having publicly stated his intention to leave his Catalan employers he has made it clear he wants to join Arsenal.
It would appear therefore that a move to Arsenal is on the cards, a move that would perhaps greatly stabilize a defence that has looked more than a little shaky this term.
