West Brom manager Steve Clarke is set for talks with the club’s striker Marcus Rosenberg according to Sky Sports.

The Swedish striker has reportedly become disillusioned with life at the Hawthorns after finding his playing time limited.

Rosenberg has found himself slipping down the pecking order this season following the impressive form of the club’s on loan star Romelu Lukaku. The Chelsea teenager is the club’s top scorer this season and has firmly cemented his place in Clarke’s starting line up.

Rosenberg also finds himself behind Irish forward Shane Long in the Clarke’s thoughts and the Swede is considering his future at the club after making just two starts since joining the club from Werder Bremen last summer.

Clarke acknowledged it must have been a difficult season for Rosenberg on account of the limited opportunities the player has had to prove himself.

Clarke refused to be drawn on whether Rosenberg would remain at the club beyond the current season insisting that would depend on the outcome of inevitable talks between the club and player in the coming weeks.

Rosenberg is thought to be keen to play first team football but may well find his chances improve at West Brom next season with Lukaku set to return to Chelsea and Peter Odemwingie also likely to leave the club.
