Sunderland have reportedly agreed a loan deal to sign Inter Milan midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic according to the Daily Express.

Paolo Di Canio appears keen to bring in further summer signings after a poor start to the Premier League campaign and has agreed a deal with Inter Milan though the rangy 25 year old Serbian international is pondering his options with Everton said to be considering a last ditch swoop.

The Black Cats have welcomed in no less than 11 new signings this summer but started the season with a home defeat to Fulham and followed that up with an uninspired goalless draw away at Southampton.

Kuzmanovi? moved to Inter Milan in January but has thus far managed to secure just 11 Serie A starts though did make it into new boss Walter Mazzarri’s opening starting eleven for the new campaign and could therefore feel he is an important part of his plans.

Paolo Di Canio has spoken before of his desire to bring in a strong tackling central midfielder and will hope that Kuzmanovic comes in to fill that void.
