The 26 year old is said to be unsettled at the Catalan club with his role in the first team under boss Gerardo Martino.

Pedro has had an excellent season thus far but is routinely left on the bench for the club’s major fixtures, most recently not making Barcelona’s starting eleven for last night’s Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid.

Indeed the adaptable forward failed to start either Champions League fixture against Atletico Madrid or their two legs against Man City and even last month’s La Liga clash with Real Madrid.

This despite the fact that the speedy Tenerife born star has netted 18 goals in all competitions this season.

David Moyes has been linked with an interest in Pedro and may well be ready to make a firm offer in view of his predicament and the long serving player may well feel the time is right for a new challenge.

Man United could well do with a fresh wide attacking option with the likes of Ashley Young, Nani and Luis Antonio Valencia failing to impress this term.
